Business activities
The mission of our company is to provide technology services to our customers by using proper equipment and with absolute commitment to independence, confidentiality and thoroughness. Always contributing to the technological development of metal-mechanical industry by providing our experience and knowledge. For this purpose we have numerous means, both destructive and not destructive, for deep analysis of materials. TAM's activity unfolds in a national market, and targeting companies in the metallurgical and research industry. More than 150 clients and 5000 tests per year is our cover letter. TAM has made several developments in their technological context, as launching new materials testing services. In relation to non-destructive testing, TAM has placed technological bets by acquiring unconventional technologies such as those based on "Time-of-flight diffraction ultrasonic" method, with whom we have inspected more than 2 km of welds in pressure vessels.
Role in the project
TAM has been selected to act as Dissemination Manager as they are the providers of non-destructive equipment and services and hence the closest ones in Trainwheels Consortium to the end user. TAM will overview R&D activities related mainly to the Engineering WP5 where the full design of Trainwheels will be defined and then in WP6 DEMO where the results will be transferred to the Supply Chain composed by the SMEs in the Consortium. TAM expects to create synergies with both RTD partners to apply our expertise for a better fulfilment of the Work Plan.
Benefits expected
TAM's strategy is to provide technology services to our customers that add value over our competitors, development and launch of new services becomes a necessity. Participation in the project gives us access to a technology that we can directly transfer to its commercial exploitation, whether in the sectors we currently work or access to areas where our activity is not represented. As stated in the Business activities, TAM is an expert in NDT ultrasound technique and we are willing to combine our ultrasound equipment and services with this novel Thermography system.
